Administrative Assistant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.     Perform receptionist activities.

2.     Phone answering and call routing.

3.     Coordinate all company events.

4.     Maintain and stock breakroom supplies.

5.     Maintain printer ink supplies and act as point of contact for leased copiers.

6.     Maintain and organize the inventory for the PPL Catalog.

7.     Process shipping for all orders

8.     Represent PPL with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

9. Adhere to PPL policies and support management decisions in a positive, professional manner.

10.  Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     File maintenance.

2.     Assist Logistics & Accounting Departments with special projects.

3.     Perform other duties as assigned.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work areas are inside, in a climate-controlled environment with moderate to high background noise.   

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 80% of time is spent seated while working at a desk. Balance of time (approximately 20%) is spent standing or moving around work areas.

Speaking/Hearing: Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with co-workers, customers, and outside agencies, by telephone and in person.

Vision: Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use the computer screens and interpret written information.

Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: The ability to lift and carry up to twenty (20) pounds is necessary for transporting files and office supplies.

Stooping/Kneeling: The ability to stoop and kneel is necessary for accessing files/stocking.

Reaching/Handling: Good manual dexterity is necessary for computer keyboard use and for retrieving and working with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Minimum of high school education or equivalent.

2.    Good written and verbal communications skills.

3.    Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
