Project Manager - Temporary
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of custom development and manufacturing projects. This role ensures that customer expectations are met by delivering on time, within scope, and according to quality and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager works cross-functionally with internal departments and maintains strong communication with clients to drive project success and foster long-term partnerships. This role contributes directly to PolyPeptide’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality and on-time delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiation, planning and monitoring of assigned customer development projects following the guideline of the Project Management Manual.
- Demonstrate the ability to fully understand the project scope and keep track of any out-of-scope activities.
- Lead project team to generate the overall project execution plan.
- Drives project timeline via consistent communication with project team and clients.
- Demonstrate problem solving capabilities to resolve the situation promptly and efficiently to ensure on time deliveries and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Command the ability to understand scientific paper or reports. Review and monitoring status of development and other project related reports will be required.
- Keep the Head of Project Management informed of any blocking issues that will have an impact on the project status.
- Conduct statue update meeting including setting up agendas and accurate minutes of internal and external meetings.
- Review, drive and – where appropriate - compile status reports.
- Provide suggestions to the Project Management Office for workflow optimization and communication improvement within the company.
- Assist the Head of Project Management in managing assigned aspects within the Project Management Office.
- Ensure projets are completed according to agreed upon deliverables/scope and works with Supply Chain to ship (as applicable) and with Finance to invoice accordingly
- Performs any and all additional duties as required for this position (example: supporting department in global initiatives or harmonization efforts).
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or business discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
- Preferred Education:
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CDMO industry.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This role may be based in an office, laboratory, or GMP manufacturing environment, depending on the position. Office-based employees primarily work at a computer in a standard office setting, while lab and manufacturing roles may require work in controlled environments with appropriate gowning and PPE.
Physical demands may include:
- Prolonged sitting or standing, depending on the role.
- Frequent movement between work areas and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Performing repetitive tasks, including pipetting, weighing, and data entry.
- Use of hands for data entry, equipment operation, or laboratory tasks.
- Exposure to chemicals, equipment noise, or temperature-controlled environments in lab or production settings.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or overtime hours to meet production or testing deadlines.
- Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Salary: $78k-82k
