Capex Project Manager

Location: Torrance, CA | Employment Type: Full-Time

PolyPeptide is looking for a Capex Project Manager to lead high-impact facility and equipment projects that keep our GMP manufacturing site running safely, reliably, and efficiently. What You’ll Do

• Lead capital projects, equipment installations, utility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
• Ensure all engineering work meets cGMP, safety, and environmental standards
• Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues in support of Manufacturing and Quality teams
• Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and manage vendors
• Prepare engineering documentation (specs, drawings, change controls, C&Q protocols)
• Support audits, validation activities, and equipment lifecycle management
• Identify opportunities for performance, safety, and energy-efficiency improvements

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 3–7 years of engineering experience in pharma, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing
• Experience with utilities (HVAC, water, gases), process equipment, and capital project execution
• Knowledge of cGMP and equipment qualification
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Salary: $145K-$160K
