Maintenance Mechanic II – 2nd Shift

PolyPeptide is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support the reliability and performance of our production equipment and facility systems in a GMP-regulated environment. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic II performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and facility systems across the site. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as pumps, compressors, vacuum systems, reactors, and HVAC units

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools

• Maintain accurate cGMP documentation, PM records, and equipment logs

• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work to support production uptime

• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs as needed

• Assist with equipment installations and facility upgrades

• Follow all safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, chemical handling)

• Provide input on equipment performance and reliability improvements

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED (technical certification or associate degree preferred)

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or GMP environment

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and HVAC

• Basic experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
